Tierra Atacama Hotel & SPA has an adventure-spa philosophy. After experiencing the outdoors actively and adventurously, the hotel welcomes back the guests with a variety of relaxing options ranging form a simple nap to the professional spa services, massage, pool, yoga or choose tranquility enjoying a cocktail at the library or bar.
The hotel chef creates wonderful meals using healthy local ingredients, fresh herbs and seasonal fruits and vegetables from the hotel's own garden.
Type of Rooms
Tierra Atacama's rooms all have private terraces and views of the Licancabur volcano. The interior decoration is casually elegant in the neo-minimal style. Our decorators scoured local villages looking for the unique hand-made textiles and crafts to add authentic desert cultural pieces to each room.
Of the 32 rooms, 30 are designed for two people either in separate beds or together. We also have two Family Suites with three bedrooms, one large double room with a private terrace and bathroom and two smaller rooms for 2 people each. All the rooms are equipped with wireless internet connections, central heating, safe, hair drier and telephone. Our beds and sheets will make an afternoon nap irresistible.
Tranquility reigns, as we do not have televisions in our rooms. Our intention is to help guests get away from the stresses of today's world. Guests who would like to view programming may watch TV in the hotel living area.

Check - in is at 3:00 P.M. but can be earlier depending on availability.

Payments
The reservation will be held on a tentative basis until a 35% deposit is received from
the client. All reservations will only be guaranteed upon receipt of such deposit. The
balance has to be paid 45 days prior to arrival
Programs at Explora are non-divisible and cannot be transferred.
Changes to confirmed reservations will be subject to the approval and availability of the hotel.
Cancellation Fees
- 60 to 30 days prior to check-in: 10% of the total value of the reservation
- 29 to 10 days prior to check-in: 35% of the total value of the reservation
- 9 to 0 days prior to check-in: 100% of the total value of the reservation

- Rates are for land arrangements only.

- Rates are per person, in US dollars, and based on two people sharing a room or a 1 traveler in a single room. Triple occupancy Room (sharing 3 guests) can be quoted.
- Rates could be higher during Holidays Season. Special reservation conditions and penalties apply for Christmas and New Year ( 22-28 Dec & 28 Dec-03 Jan)
- Children between 0-3 years old without charge, in parent's room.
- Extra bed for children (up to 12 years old) sharing their parents' room. Maximum 1 extra bed per room.
- Special rates for youngsters (up to 18 years old) accompanying their parents are subject to availability based in double, triple or quadruple occupancy.
- The following information at least 30 working days is required: NAME(S) AND SURNAME(S) - PASSPORT NUMBER - DATE OF BIRTH - NATIONALITY - PROFESSION - MEDICAL OR DIETARY INDICATIONS.
- Passengers may have in consideration the following recommendations when travelling in altitude: If you have cardiopulmonary problems, high blood pressure or obesity, check with your doctor first / Do not eat heavy food before travelling in altitude, such as meat or fried food / Drinks as much water as possible/ Avoid dehydration / Do not drink too much alcohol.
- We recommend you to take: 20 to 35 lts. Back pack, swimsuit, sandals, several layers of clothe (Capilene, Fleece, Polar), trainers, trekking shoes, trekking trousers, windbreaker, sun block, hat for the sun, sunglasses (UV), Gloves and hat for high altitude excursions, high mountain parkas will be needed in case of a climb up to 5000.
- Type of Rooms: Single room implies room for 1 person occupancy. Double room implies room with 2 guests sharing a double bed full size, queen or king bed, as available at time of check in or hotel category. Twin room implies room with 2 twin/single person beds. Triple room implies a room for 3 person occupancy and may include a rollaway bed. We cannot guarantee any specific bed type in advance.
- Airfares are not included unless specifically mentioned in inclusions and can be quoted separately.
- We can replace hotels with other one with the same characteristics in the case that it becomes necessary for operative and other reasonable causes.
